TERESA BARNHILL, MS
Co-Founder, CEO, Principal Consultant
She/Her
An award-winning global diversity, equity, and inclusion strategist, and experienced senior leader in technology, healthcare, and non-profit organizations, Teresa Barnhill is CEO and Principal Consultant at ATB Consulting, LLC. In addition to her depth of experience in DEI, Teresa is also a multicultural marketing expert, an accomplished marketing and communications leader, and an extension of your team. She is the bridge your company needs between research and insights to the programs, services, policies, and practices that will bring about sustained, positive change within your organization, your consumer base, and the communities your organization serves. ​ A respected people leader, leadership coach, and mentor, Teresa earned both a Bachelor of Science in English and a Master of Science in English/Multicultural Studies from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Passionate about giving back and serving her community, Teresa is a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc. and serves as a Board member and consultant for organizations serving underserved communities in Tennessee and North Carolina. In her free time, Teresa loves traveling, reading, refinishing furniture, and taking long walks with the family dog, Smokey.
ADRIAN BARNHILL

Human Resources executive and business operations consultant, Adrian Barnhill is passionate about helping organizations and leaders address their engagement and inclusion needs. With decades of success in waste management, manufacturing, and construction, Adrian has a knack for aligning safety and engagement while championing the impact of people and culture on an organization's bottom line. He is a co-founder of ATB Consulting, LLC and a Principal Consultant. ​ Adrian has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from East Carolina University in his hometown of Greenville, North Carolina. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and serves as a mentor for several minority-owned businesses committed to providing employment to those in need of a second chance and opportunity youth. In his free time, Adrian, who is also a former First Sergeant in the United States Army, enjoys golf and traveling.
BRIANA HYMAN, MPA
Lead Policy Strategist
She/Her
Briana Hyman leads the policy equity practice at ATB Consulting, LLC, with an emphasis on underserved advocacy, research, and strategic communications. Briana's work in social justice and policy reform has garnered her special recognition from the National Conference of Black Politiacal Scientists and the Midwest Political Science Association. In addition to researching gender equity at Howard University for the Ronald W. Walters Leadership and Public Policy Center, Briana's research also includes affirmative action policies in higher education, policing practices within communities of color, and the lingering impacts of slavery and racism on American Federalism and constitutional law. Briana is the recipient of the Woodford R. Porter Scholarship, the Hugh T. Henry Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Public Administration Students, the American Political Science Association Minority Fellowship, and most recently, the Winslow Sargeant Doctoral Award. A respected consultant and peer mentor, Briana obtained her Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Louisville and Master's in Public Administration from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. An accomplished professor at both NC A&T in Greensboro, NC and Elon University, Briana is a political science doctoral candidate at Howard University in Washington, D.C. and volunteers with animal rights and disability equity organizations in North Carolina and the District of Columbia. In her free time, Briana enjoys international travel, volunteering within the deaf community, and spoiling her dog, Mowgli, with treats and long walks in America's national parks and forests.
ANGELA FREEMAN, RN
Lead Health Equity Strategist

Angela Freeman is the lead strategist for the health equity practice at ATB Consulting, LLC. A graduate of the East Carolina University School of Nursing and a seasoned rural health nurse, patient educator, and healthcare administrator, Angela brings empathy, experience, and cultural humility to direct patient care and developing partnerships to positively impact health outcomes and access to healthcare in rural communities. Angela has worked with rural health providers in Eastern North Carolina for nearly two decades and incorporates holistic and alternative/complementary therapies into her daily practice, both inside and outside of the clinical setting, to promote health and well-being, and to reduce stress. Angela has a talent for engaging partners and communities in the identification of health equity gaps as well developing and implementing strategies that directly, measurably, and sustainably address gaps, build community strengths, and reduce health disparities. With a passion for data and leveraging qualitative and quantitative metrics to inform solutions, Angela is a champion of innovative, patient-centered interventions specific to reducing cancer and diabetes-related mortality within communities of color. An accomplished nursing instructor and advisor to physicians and nurses alike, Angela has an exceptional track record of managing rural health practices, having played a lead role in directing, administering, and ensuring nursing-patient care service best practices as well as partnering with physicians to ensure a smooth workflow. Regulatory and compliance accreditations as well as ensuring the overall business health of a healthcare organization are also within Angela’s areas of expertise. ATB Consulting, LLC is proud to partner with Angela to empower healthcare organizations and their teams to better understand and partner with rural communities to accurately identify needs and successfully collaborate across differences to find lasting solutions for better health outcomes for everyone.
